May sub the 6-Band EQ for Earthquaker Devices Tone Job if it turns out it’s not too wonkey when used in the FX Loop.
I have everything but the two Loop-Master strips (I currently have a singe 6-Loop on the board), and the EQ.  Need to save up/trade for those three pedals.

Escapist Records is pleased to announce plans to release Upward, Not Northward, the debut 12” LP from Cleveland’s Harvey Pekar.  Since forming in 2011, the five-piece hardcore band has been fueled by incessant determination and worth ethic, self-booking tours in support of their self-released Thirty Ghosts EP.  Over the past two years Harvey Pekar have drawn increasing crowds with their energetic and impassioned performances alongside the likes of Defeater, A Wilhelm Scream, Cheap Girls, Such Gold, and Code Orange Kids, amongst others.
The band’s ethos mirrors that of their namesake, acclaimed and influential comic book writer Harvey Pekar, who described his work, saying:
“[It] is about staying alive. Getting a job, finding a mate, having a place to live, finding a creative outlet. Life is a war of attrition. You have to stay active on all fronts. It’s one thing after another.”
Significant parallels exist between Pekar’s approach and that of a touring band; an endless number of obstacles present themselves day in and day out.  But rather than both admit defeat and give up, one must choose take those challenges head on and commit to the goals in mind.  This conviction and sense of commitment permeates from the psyche of band.
Harvey Pekar will enter Brainchild Studios in Cleveland this week to begin recording, after which the band plans to tour substantially in support of the effort.

Hilariously, the only thing I still own from this photo is the Red Bear MKE (Which looks way different after Emperor built me a replacement head cabinet for it).Rolled with the Red Bear and Silver-Knob Sunn Model-T for a bit.  Now it’s the Bear and Orange Rockerverb.  My game of Craig’s List gear chess certainly paid off.

Rochester NY- Got to Rochester five hours early, the promoter suggested a plethora of things to do, I took particular interest in the idea of visiting the George Eastman house, but it was closed on Mondays. The first thing I noticed about Rochester was all of the gorgeous, and old houses. I took pictures of two that especially caught my eye and will probably post them shortly.

My favorite was tall and made of brick that had been painted lavender, but wore its age on each brick proudly. Wide doors that reminded me of a winery, for some reason or another, were positioned perfectly; as if the bricks were built up around them,as if they had always been there. I began to daydream about Jackie and I living there.

The insides would look more like a loft than a traditional house, our bedroom separated only by a white sheet. We would have 1920’s furniture scattered around the space as if they were guests at one of the many parties we would be hosting. Jackie would take up painting and I would start a small business of some sort, perhaps the classic American diner I often lie about starting. It all sounds so romantic, and unrealistic.

Inbetween my delusions we went to a curiosity shop and a playground. I realize that I have a nasty habit of getting lost in my own words,so I’ll keep the rest of this blog fairly short.

I bought earrings and a postcard for Jackie, despite her pleading with me to save my money. I led Elliott to the perfect gift for his girlfriend’s birthday,it was a picture of a kitten in a cookie jar. The odd thing about it was,the company that made it was named something to the likes of Elliott pictures or The Elliott company of Pennsylvania.

The playground was oversized and a lot of fun, I got to do a lot of climbing and jumping and it felt good to give in to my childish impulses,we had an older man take pictures of us on the spiderweb and there’s one of me doing my best R Kelly impersonation under a fountain.

We were playing the bug jar that night,a very cool bar that has what looks like the set of “Joe’s Apartment” glued to the ceiling and two gigantic fly sculptures hanging from a fan.

Josh, the promoter wasn’t there yet,so we loaded in and set up merch and then waited. When he did finally arrive,he regrettably informed me that both locals just dropped off the bill and that we would wait to see if anyone showed up. We got to talking and he mentioned that he was thirty one,and just quit his job because his girlfriend and him got a puppy. Josh is a lovable but sad character, you can tell he is still figuring himself out but knows that he isn’t where he is supposed to be in life.

After some time,we are told that the show is off, Josh offers me a hundred dollars and I tell him not to be stupid,he gives me sixty. We sell one dead words t shirt and pack up. We make the decision to drive to Albany and stay with a member of Aficionado.

Got to the apartment by two am, text jack most of the way and ignore everyone else, but not for any reason.

Our host offers us peanuts, blankets, and xbox. I go right to sleep on the floor, feeling alone and being fully aware that I’m just being overdramatic.

My pal, Max, was really into my Lovepedal 200LBS. So, I sold it to him and used the cash to buy this.

Earthquaker Devices Tone Reaper Fuzz = Hot death.

Makes both the Model T and the MKE 60 sound like they are occupied by demons engaged in a maple syrup guzzling competition.

Sunn Model T shootout.

Vintage vs. Re-Issue.

He didn’t crank the vintage so you don’t really get to hear why people REALLY buy those heads. Fender T is a good amp but a completely different one than the 1st gen Sunn T.

So glad someone has finally done this. I still really love my original, but I’d love to have both.

I love my silver knob.  To get it to do what it is supposed to, you need to crank both inputs, and just about dime the presence.  I throw a ZVex Super-Duper 2-in-1 in front of mine to get it break up at a volume that doesn’t kill children standing four blocks away.

IMO the only similarity between the real-deal and the reissue is the name.  The reissue is a fine amp, but its tone is not at all like the Sunn Model T.
